Dr. Fischer has a warm bedside manner that instantly puts you at ease. He nurtures and improves the well-being of his patients by aligning their minds, bodies and spirits. He has passionately continued and broadened his education and scope of practice by being a perpetual student.

He listens to the needs and concerns of his patients while taking the time to ask questions and educate them.

Dr. Fischer bridges the gap between eastern and western medicine by merging together the best that both have to offer.

He is a compassionate integrative physician with over 28 years of experience.

He pioneered the Village Health and Wellness Center in Oak Park, and served as its director for 10 years. After that, he created a boutique practice so he could better focus on the needs of his patients.

Since receiving his Doctor of Chiropractic from National University of Health Sciences in 1994. He is board certified through the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), where he was granted his Diplomate in Oriental Medicine, but also he is a licensed Acupuncturist and has been certified in Hypnotherapy & Cosmetic Acupuncture (one of his specialties).

Most recently, he earned a Master's of Science in Oriental Medicine from National University of Health Sciences (graduating summa cum laude). After serving a two-year internship at Cook County Stroger Hospital Pain Management Clinic, he continued his studies in China at Gansu Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which “forever changed the way he practices.”  

Dr. Fischer’s multi-disciplinary approach incorporating biomedicine and manual manipulative therapy with Asian therapies is what makes his style of practice so unique.
